How to dry mangoes with honey?

It is hard to disagree with the value of the fruit of the mango tree.
1 unit of fruit (by the way, the weight can be up to 500 grams!) Contains up to 20% of the daily value of fiber.
The vitamin C content is almost like lemon, but the pulp is much nicer and sweeter. In addition, the fruitage is rich in vitamins B, A, E, K, beta-carotene, and alpha-carotene. The mineral composition is quite diverse: copper, potassium, manganese, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, calcium, selenium, zinc, sodium.
Eating the pulp contributes to:

  • increasing the level of hemoglobin in the blood, immunity, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic effect;
  • maintaining high-quality vision;
  • reducing stress;
  • improvement of skin, hair, nails, blood composition, digestion.
Plant endorphins cheer up, invigorate; sucrose, xylose, fructose, glucose are responsible for sweetness, and carotenoids are responsible for the bright sunny color of mango.
Calorie content - 60 Kcal, but in desiccated form - more than 300 Kcal.
The harm to the body is the presence of sugars. This means that consumption should be limited to all who are recommended special diets.
We dry fruits at home and are ready to share recipes for preparing desiccated fruitage with our dear subscribers.
Sun-dried mango is a delicious treat that is quite easy to prepare.
First, we go to the store to buy firm, even, smooth fruits with a rich aroma. We bring it home and, of course, rinse it with water. Many people skip this stage, because they think that the skin should be peeled off anyway. But we are not lazy!

Now we cut into oblong slices. Thickness - medium (if we cut thinly - the slice will be over dried). We fill a container with them and pour it with honey. We keep it in the refrigerator overnight.

Then take it out and send for drying at a temperature of + 40 ° to an oven or electric dryer for 6 hours.

Sprinkle the finished, still hot slices with poppy seeds or coconut flakes. But this stage can be skipped.

What would you make of a mango to keep it longer?

Sugar Free Dried Mango

Drying is the process of removing moisture from a product naturally or industrially. People have appreciated the beauty of desiccated fruits for a long time:

  • they retain useful properties;
  • lightweight, which means you can take them with you everywhere;
  • stored for a long time;
  • you can eat even where the fruit does not grow (today it is simple: place an order via the Internet - and you're done!), regardless of the season.
As mentioned above, you can dry naturally, that is, in the sun, or industrially - using an oven, an electric dryer.
The first method looks quite easy: string the pieces on a thick natural thread and hang for about 4-5 days in the open sun. But no! In practice, several conditions must match: hot, dry air, ventilation, protection from insects. Moreover, it is desirable at night too, otherwise you will have to transfer the threads to a closed room.
It is easier to use an electric dryer or oven. Simply place the sliced mangoes on a baking sheet or trays and follow the drying guidelines.
How do you know when it is ready? Try bending the slice. If it bends without emitting juice, then it is ready.
Finished desiccated delicacy should be stored in glass jars, plastic containers or craft bags. Shelf life is 1 year.
We produce a natural product, without adding sugar, which you can buy at any time of the year.
